Dr. Charles Kissling
*Dr. Charles Kissling retired in March 2018*. Dr. Kissling began practice since 1984. He is board certified by the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Kissling has been active in the Kansas Optometric Association for 30 years, serving on the Board of Directors as a Zone President and as a member or chairman of numerous committees. He lectures on age-related eye disease topics to seniors groups, and on diabetic eye disease to diabetes education classes. In 2002 he received the Legislative Service Award from the Kansas Optometric Association.
Dr. Kissling sees patients aged 3 years and older. He manages diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration; utilizing specialists in those areas when necessary. He co-manages post operative cataract surgery with several cataract surgeons.
Dr. Kissling has been married for more than 36 years and has 3 sons and numerous grandchildren. He is active in his church as a lector, and is in the Men’s Club and in the Knights of Columbus.
