Severe Diabetic Retinopathy
Many of our patients have diabetes, which can lead to diabetic retinopathy. Diabetic retinopathy is when the blood vessels in the back of the eye bleed, leak and can cause a lack of oxygen. Depending on the severity, some cases just need monitored and better blood sugar control. But in severe cases, like this one, the patient needs to be referred to a retinal specialist for treatment with injectable medicine.
